Claire Hewitt spent a week in Spain´s vibrant city, Barcelona, learning Spanish with a don Quijote language course. She combined her lessons during the day with sightseeing and exploring the city by night. During her stay, she got a taste for the Barcelonés culture including its local gastronomy and wide array of museums. Claire speaks of her experience, recounting of the international friends she made and the huge improvement in her Spanish after arriving merely as a beginner.
The University of Durham is one of the institutions awarded a scholarship for a free language course at a don Quijote school in 2006.
