Student Summer Jobs Abroad - Work and Study in Spanish

Our work and study in Spanish program offers you an exclusive occasion to enhance your Spanish level while you gain valuable work experience in Spain’s hospitality industry. For legal reasons concerning visas, the work and study in Spanish program is not available to all nationalities.

You will have a Spanish language immersion course at don Quijote before putting your new abilities into practice on a work placement in a hotel or a country house hotel.

You will work in beautiful mainland Spain’s or in the Spanish Balearic or Canary Islands. Accommodation and meals are granted during the work placement period. Depending on your placement, you could earn monthly wage of 200€ to 400€.

  • Full board, shared accommodation in the hotel or country house for the duration of the work placement
  • Telephone support during the work placement for employer and employee
  • Intensive 20 Spanish course (4 weeks)
  • Work placement in a 3-5 star hotel or country house in Spain
  • Certification of completion

The price listed above is intended for a 4-week course, the minimum required for participation in the work and study in Spanish program. Bear in mind that with a higher level of Spanish you would attain in a longer course and you would be more likely to hold a better position requiring contact with the public.

Practical Information - Study & Work in Spanish hotels

Spanish course: 4 weeks (minimum)
Work experience:
  • 2 months for students from USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Japan
  • 2 months (minimum) to 4 months (maximum) for citizens of the EU, Iceland, Switzerland and Norway

Nacionality:
Students from the EU, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Japan.
Age:
18 - 30 years old
Prerequisite:
We require that participating students must academic coursework or work experience in tourism, leisure, hospitality management or food service.
